Door & Side Window Replacement
Side windows, quarter glass, vent windows, and power window regulators. Hatch Auto Glass replaces and repairs all door glass — including break-in damage — with same-day mobile service across Arizona.
Side & Door Glass Services
Door window damage leaves your vehicle exposed — to weather, theft, and Arizona's relentless heat. Whether you're dealing with a break-in, a stray baseball, or a power window that stopped working, Hatch Auto Glass provides fast mobile repair so you're not driving around with a garbage bag taped over your door.
We replace all types of side glass: front door windows, rear door windows, quarter glass (the small fixed pane near the rear pillar), and vent windows. We carry glass for most popular makes and models and can source specialty glass for less common vehicles within 24 hours. Every replacement uses OEM-equivalent or better glass with proper weatherstripping and seals.
Break-in damage is our most common side glass call. We clean up the broken glass, vacuum the interior, replace the window, and make sure the door panel and weatherstrip are properly sealed. If the break-in damaged your power window regulator or door lock mechanism, we can repair those too.
Power Window Regulator Repair
If your window won't roll up or down — or makes grinding, clicking, or popping noises — the problem is usually the window regulator. The regulator is the mechanical assembly inside your door panel that moves the glass up and down.
Common symptoms include:
- Window drops into the door and won't come back up
- Window moves slowly or unevenly
- Grinding or clicking noise when pressing the switch
- Window tilts to one side instead of moving straight
We replace regulators on-site as part of our mobile service. Most regulator replacements take 45–90 minutes.
Types of Door Glass We Replace
Every type of side and door glass — replaced on-site with proper seals and weatherstripping.
Front & Rear Door Windows
The main roll-up/roll-down windows in your front and rear doors. Tempered safety glass that shatters into small, dull pieces on impact. We replace the glass and verify the regulator and seal are functioning properly.
Quarter Glass
The small, fixed triangular or rectangular pane near the C-pillar at the rear of the vehicle. Quarter glass is often targeted in break-ins because it's small and quiet to break. We replace it with proper adhesive and weatherstrip seals.
Vent Windows
Small triangular windows at the front of the door, found on trucks, vans, and some older vehicles. These pivot open for ventilation. We replace the glass and the pivot hardware to restore full function.
Door Window Replacement FAQ
Do you replace side windows, not just windshields?
Yes. Hatch Auto Glass replaces all vehicle glass — front windshields, rear windshields, front and rear door windows, quarter glass, and vent windows. Side glass replacement is one of our most common services, especially after break-ins. We carry glass for most popular makes and models and provide the same mobile service as our windshield replacements.
Do you fix power windows that won't go up or down?
Yes. If your power window is stuck, slow, or making grinding noises, the problem is usually the window regulator — the mechanical assembly inside your door that moves the glass. We replace regulators on-site as part of our mobile service. Most jobs take 45–90 minutes. If the window motor itself has failed, we can replace that too.
Is side window replacement covered by insurance?
Side glass replacement is covered under comprehensive insurance, but unlike windshield replacement, Arizona's $0 deductible law only applies to the front windshield. Side window replacement is subject to your standard comprehensive deductible. If the damage was caused by a break-in, your comprehensive coverage typically applies. We can help you determine if filing a claim makes sense based on your deductible amount.
How long does side window replacement take?
Most side window replacements take 30–60 minutes. If we also need to replace the window regulator or clean up extensive break-in debris, it may take up to 90 minutes. We come to your location with all tools and materials — no need to visit a shop.
